Kenneth H. Erickson of Harrisburg
HARRISBURG - Kenneth H. Erickson, 90, died at 7:20 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 4, 2018, in Shawnee Rose Care Center in Harrisburg.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, in Felty Funeral Home in Carrier Mills with the Rev. Dewayne Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery in Harrisburg with military rites by Carrier Mills and Harrisburg American Legions and Navy Ritual Team. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Dorrisville Baptist Church or Carrier Mills/Harrisburg American Legion Ritual Team.
Kenneth was born April 28, 1927, in Bradley to Roy F. and Cora Bell (Brickle) Erickson.
He married the former Dolores Lancaster, and she preceded him in death. He then married the former Odella Langford, and she preceded him in death on Feb. 11, 2007.
Kenneth was a U.S. Navy veteran, who served during World War II and the Korean War.
He was a member of Dorrisville Baptist Church in Harrisburg. He also was a former member and board president of Bradley-Bourbonnais School Board.
Survivors include two sons, Raymond (Becky) Erickson of Woodstock, Georgia, and Terry (Joyce) Erickson of Bradley; brother, Carl (Judy) Erickson of Bradley; special friend, Barbara Kassner of Muddy; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives; six brothers; two sisters; and son, Kenneth Edward Erickson.
