Delores Joann Donithan, formerly of Harrisburg
HARRISBURG - Delores Joann Donithan, 95, formerly of Harrisburg, passed away at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, in Redbanks Colonial Terrance in Sebree, Kentucky.
Delores was born Nov. 13, 1922, in Columbus, Ohio, to Monford Y. and Una A. (Cole) Spooner, who preceded her in death.
She married Marvin Weldon Donithan on March 22, 1945, and he preceded her in death on March 28, 2005.
Delores was a homemaker and enjoyed traveling and fishing with Marvin.
Survivors include her son, Jeffery Donithan and wife Wanda, two grandchildren, Leslie Shehorn and husband Jerad and Jordan Donithan, and two great-grandchildren, Tate Shehorn and Tilly Rose Shehorn, all of Robards, Kentucky; sister-in-law, Mary Spooner of Evansville, Indiana; brother-in-law, James Dee Donithan and wife Ann of Las Vegas; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Marvin, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Lois Wathen and Gloria Mason; and brother, Robert Cole Spooner.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, in Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Jimmy Dale Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Fluorine Cemetery in Rosiclare. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
