Obituary for Eric T. Skorcz

ERIC T. SKORCZ, 34, of Ellis Grove, Illinois, passed away at 8:28 p.m., Monday, November 21, 2016 at Memorial Hospital in Chester, Illinois.

He was born to Ralph and Alice Mae (nee: Hartman) Skorcz on September 21, 1982 in Red Bud, Illinois.

Eric was an officer at Menard Correctional Center.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ellis Grove, assistant Chester Stingers football coach and Chester High School baseball coach.

He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Survivors include Father - Ralph Skorcz, Ellis Grove; Maternal grandparents - Earl and Pearl Hartman, Ellis Grove; Two siblings - John (Amber) Skorcz, Chester, and Amy (Carl) Eggemeyer, Herrin; Two nephews - James Maes and Ethan Eggemeyer; Two nieces - Ally Eggemeyer and Kari Eggemeyer; Aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by mother - Alice Mae Skorcz and paternal grandparents - Leo and Zettie Skorcz.

Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2016 at First Baptist Church, Ellis Grove, with the Rev. Bill McCluskey officiating.

Interment will take place in Ellis Grove City Cemetery, Ellis Grove.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester and Monday, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Ellis Grove.

Interment is in Ellis Grove City Cemetery, Ellis Grove, Illinois.
