Lester Thomas "Tom" Dethrow, 72, of Bandera, Texas, formerly of Chester, Departed this world on April 12.
He was born on September 4, 1943 in Chester to Lester (Patcho) and Odelia Dethrow.
Survivors include his wife Glenna of Bandera, Texas.5 children - David (Angie) Dethrow of Nashville,Tenn; Mark (Corey) Dethrow of St.Louis, Mo.; Jon Dethrow of Belleville; Amy (Rudy) Gonzalez of Las Vegas, Nev, and Karyn Dethrow of Chicago
1 brother and 3 sisters - Jerry (Maggie) Dethrow of Columbia, Mo.; Edna (Joe) Thompson of Jackson, Mo.; Gail (Bob) Moranville of Hillsboro and Cheryl (Frank) Bledsoe of Lecanto, Fl.
3 grandchildren - Isobel and Alan Dethrow of St.Louis and Brooklyn Gonzalez of Las Vegas. Along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters - Barbara and Theresa.
Tom was a veteran of the Korean War. He loved his ranch and being a cowboy in Bandera, along with his beloved Schnauzers.
Tom was a hardworking man who made many friends through this journey called life.
It was his wishes to be cremated and his family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
