Obituary for Nan Link

NAN KATHRYN LINK, 71 of St. Charles, Missouri passed away at 8:45 a.m., Thursday, April 21, 2016 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester.

She was born to the late Gordon Roper and Nan Frieda (nee Johnson) Beers on October 25, 1944 in Red Bud. She married Ronald Olin Link on October 19, 1963 in Chester; he survives.

She had been an associate planner for McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis for 31 years.

She was a member of St. Cletus Catholic Church in St. Charles. She had also been a board member for the Crescendo Concert Series, a member of the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce, a singer in the St. Charles Choral Society, a volunteer at Powell Symphony Hall, a singer in Sweet Adelines and a member of Alpha Phi Omega.

Music was her passion in life.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Olin Link, St. Charles, Mo.; 1 Daughter - Tricia Link, St. Louis, Mo.; 4 siblings - Phyllis (Kenneth) Volle, St. Charles, Mo., Philip (Mary) Beers, Springfield, Ill., Susan Tharp, Auburn, Ill., James (Vicki) Beers, Chester, Ill.; 4 Brothers-in-law - Dean (Bitzie) Link, Chester, Harold (Michelle) Link, Chester, Jack Link, Chester, Dale (Marsha) Link, Chester; 5 Sisters-in-law - Susan (Mark) Goetting, Murphysboro, Janice (David) Cole, Chester, Leta (Richard) Heuman, Chester, Bonita Horn, Chester, Darla (Larry) Wilson, Chester; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by: Parents, Grandparents - Leslie & Maude (nee Roper) Beers and Thurman and Nellie (nee Baker) Johnson, 1 Sister-in-law - Sandra Link and 1 Brother-in-law- Glen Horn

Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois with Deacon Brett Judkins officiating.

Interment in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Chester, Illinois.

Visitation Saturday - 9:00 am - 11:00 am at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois.

Memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, American Lung Association, Alzheimer's Association and American Education Society.
