Obituary for Marion L. Surman

MARION L. SURMAN, 98 of Chester, Illinois passed away at 6:25 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2016 at Independence Care Center, Perryville, Missouri.

She was born to the late Harry and Mary (nee Wolshock) Montroy on November 23, 1917 in Fort Gage, Illinois.

She married Edward J. Surman on October 26, 1938 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester. He preceded her in death on May 11, 2014

She had worked at Gilster Mary-Lee Corporation in Chester.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester and the altar sodality.

Survivors include 1 Daughter - Barbara (Mike) Good, Champaign and 2 Grandsons - Michael Good, Blake Good.

Preceded in death by: Parents, husband, 1 Daughter - Theresa Surman - and 17 brothers and sisters.

Funeral mass was held at 11:30 am, Monday, April 25, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester, with the Very Reverend Eugene H. Wojcik, V.F. and Deacon Brett Judkins officiating.

Interment is in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Chester.
