Obit for Maev C. Brown

MAEV C. BROWN, 94, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at <span class="aBn"><span class="aQJ">2:52 am</span></span>, Thursday, December 17, 2015 at home surrounded by her family.

She was born to the late Donald A. and Ida (nee Bessen) Berry on January 11, 1921 in Sparta, Illinois.

Maev married S.F. "Bus" Brown on August 30, 1941 in Perryville, Missouri; he survives.

She was a homemaker.

Maev was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Chester, Illinois. She loved her family and enjoyed traveling.

She had traveled all over the United States and abroad, visiting Australia, New Zealand, the Caribbean, Panama Canal, Alaska and Canada.

She also enjoyed Ballroom Dancing with her husband Bus, dancing three nights a week.

Survivors include her husband, S.F. "Bus" Brown, Chester, IL; three children Bruce (Mary) Brown, Chester, IL, Terry (Carolyn) Brown, Belleville, IL, Jeanne (Kenneth) Wagner, Chester, IL; one brother Robert Berry, Cocoa Beach, FL; six grandchildren Jennifer (Brad) Warhausen, Steeleville, IL, Rebecca (Larry) Hanna, Rockwood, IL, Matthew (Lyndsay) Brown, Belleville, IL, Nathan (Ashley) Brown, O'Fallon, IL, Stacey Eldridge, Belleville, IL, Stefanie Petrucci - Hills, Orlando, FL; nine great-grandchildren Hunter Warhausen, Connor Warhausen, Colton Warhausen, Isabelle Marshall, Jaxon Hanna, Aaron Hanna, Audrey Brown, Brandon Frazier and Kortney Frazier; several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by parents and three brothers Garrett Berry, Avon Berry and Charles Berry.

Funeral Service was held Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois with Rev. Edwin Reuter and Deacon Don Berry officiating.

Entombment is in Evergreen Cemetery, Chester, Illinois.

Visitation was held Saturday at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois.
