Obituary for Jessie Lee Irose

JESSIE LEE IROSE, 79, of Chester, Illinois, asleep in Jesus at 1:40 am, on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Three Springs Lodge Nursing Home in Chester.

She was born to the late Hugo and Mary (nee: Howard) Gaebe on November 13, 1935 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Jessie married Joseph Leo Irose on September 7, 1963 in St. Louis, Missouri; he preceded her in death on November 4, 2004.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Chester.

Jessie worked at Famous Barr in St. Louis while attending DePaul School of Nursing where she received her RN degree in 1956.

She worked at DePaul Hospital, Memorial Hospital and she retired from St. Ann's Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Survivors include two children John (Laurie) Irose, Chester, Mary (Chris) Geiger, St. Peters, Mo.; one sister-in-law Sister Anne Irose, Ruma; four grandchildren Jessica Geiger, Katherine Geiger, Clayton Irose, Grace Irose; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband - Joseph Leo Irose and one sister - Mary Phillips.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2015 at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, with Rev. Timothy Landskroener officiating.

Interment will be in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Chester.

Visitation Friday - 5 - 8 p.m., Saturday - 7:30 a.m. - 9 a.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, and Saturday - 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester.
