Thomas Paul Skorch

Thomas Paul Skorch, 76, of Du Bois, passed away at 5:10 P.M., Sunday, November 1, 2015 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO.

Tom had worked as a tooling superintendent at Nascote. He had also been a journeyman pattern maker and a coal miner for Captain Mine of Arch Coal Company. He was of the Catholic faith. Tom was member of the UMW of A. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and gardener.

He was born September 27, 1939 at Chicago, IL, the son of Walter and Helen (Walkowiak) Skorch.

He married Rose M. Powers on October 20, 1962 at Chicago, IL, and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Bois, one daughter - Paula Marie Skorch of Mt. Vernon, one son - Thomas Scot Skorch of Nashville, IL, one grandson - Tyler James Skorch of Ina, and one brother - Stanley Skorch and wife Toni of Ludington, MI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother - Walter Skorch and one nephew - Steven Skorch.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Bro. Jerry Aken officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M., Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery at Du Bois.

Friends may make memorials to the St. Charles Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
