Obituary for Linda D. Hoffman

LINDA D. HOFFMAN, 68, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Memorial Hospital in Chester.

She was born to the late George Arthur "Bob" and Delores Frances (nee: Garner) Wills on August 24, 1947 in Red Bud.

Linda was a retired maintenance clerk II at Menard Correctional Center in Chester.

She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Chester, the Catholic Council of Women, Eagles Auxiliary, was an avid sports fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and Blues and loved to watch her grandchildren play sports.

Survivors include two sons Matthew O. (Carrie) Hoffman, Chester, Mark N. (Bria) Hoffman, Chester; devoted love and friend Danny Miller, Chester; step-mother Geneva Wills, Pontotoc, Miss.; one brother Steve Wills, Indian Rocks Beach, Fla.; three sisters Joanne Wills James, Du Quoin, Jina Wills, Pontotoc, Miss., Geri (Blake) McDaniels, Pontotoc, Miss.; five grandchildre Garret Hoffman, Maddison Hoffman, Kaitlyn Hoffman, Jacob Hoffman, Justin Risley; one great-grandson Kaden Risley; nieces, nephew, great nieces, great nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 15, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chester, with the Very Reverend Eugene H. Wojcik, V.F. and Deacon Brett Judkins officiating.

Visitation will take place Wednesday 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. and Thursday 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester.

Interment will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Chester.
