Inez Iona Eisenhauer

Inez Iona Eisenhauer, 91, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:45 P.M., Monday, October 5, 2015 at her residence.

Inez had worked at Forrest City and then Country Set. She retired from SIU Campus Machine Service. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin. She was also a member of Perry County Historical Society and ILGWU. Inez enjoyed genealogy and painting.

She was born January 19, 1924 at Cardston Alberta, Canada, the daughter of Jesse Otto and Eleanor J. (Brown) Bost.

She married Leonard Joseph Eisenhauer on May 18, 1941 at Jackson, MO and he preceded her in death on August 9, 2003.

She is survived by two daughters - L.T. Eisenhauer Hill of Rockford, IL and Gayle Eisenhauer of Du Quoin, grandchildren - Ken Morris and wife Brenda of Albers, Eric Morris and special friend Annie Fischer of Murphysboro, Karla McKinnies and husband Dan of Du Quoin, Jeff Morris and wife Krista of Belleville, Leo Eisenhauer of Washington, D.C., and Rand Thacker and wife Amber, great grandchildren - Brittany Elswick and husband Joel, Chase McKinnies and wife Sarah, Clint Morris, Caleb Berg, Maia Thacker, Derek Thacker, Steve Thacker and wife Stephanie, and great great granddaughter - Sybilla Thacker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter - Vickie Morris, and two sisters - Harriett and Olive.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, October 8, 2015 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Fr. Joseph Oganda officiating.

Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Perry County Historical Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
