Peggy Sue McEnary
Peggy Sue McEnary, 71 of Edwardsville, formerly of Pinckneyville, passed away on Friday, July 11, 2014 at Meridian Village in Glen Carbon.
Peggy was born on Sept. 21, 1942 in Murphysboro, Ill., a daughter to the late Woodrow and Evelyn (Himmelspoch) Maloney. Peggy was a special education teacher in the Wood River-Hartford School Districts, retiring in 2005. She earned her undergraduate degree in elementary education and later went on to earn her Masters Degree in special education at Southern Illinois University in Edwardsville. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. In her free time she enjoyed scrap booking and knitting. She will be remembered for her kind heart and the many special times she shared with her family and friends.
She is survived by and will be missed by her son; Michael McEnary of Edwardsville; daughter, Nancy Jean and (Jeff) Moore of Edwardsville; grandchildren, Kristin Agee, Kaitlyn Agee and Bailey Moore all of Edwardsville; sister, Elizabeth "Jean" Eder of Orland Park, Ill.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Edward McEnary, whom she married on May 4, 1963.
In celebration of her life friends may call on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Jared DeBlieck officiating at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road in Glen Carbon.
