Michael J. Dalman
Michael J. Dalman, 72, of Tamaroa, passed away at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at his residence.
Michael had been a mechanic at Consol #4 Coal Mine and had also been a farmer. He was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville. He was also a member of UMW of A.
Michael was born Dec. 21, 1941 at Washington County, Ill., the son of John L. and Josephine (Rybacki) Dalman.
He married Sue Malinski on Sept. 4, 1961 at St. Bruno Catholic Church in Pinckneyville and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Tamaroa, one daughter - Carol Shelton of Jackson, Mo., one son - Michael W. Dalman and wife Laura of Du Bois, five grandchildren - Jonathan Shelton of Scott City, Mo., Matthew Shelton and wife Megean of Jackson, Mo., Rebecca Shelton of Jackson, Mo., Mark Dalman of Du Bois and Jason Dalman of Du Bois, two great grandchildren - Matthew Shelton and Piper Shelton, one brother - Casimir Dalman of Du Bois, four sisters - Christine Ritter Gauvain of Waterloo, Ill., Jo Ann Holzhauer and husband Raymond of Edinburg, Tex., LaVerne Restoff and husband Eugene of Scheller and Sharon Frederking and husband Jon of Nashville, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother - Ralph Dalman.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 14, 2014 at St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois with Fr. Oliver Nwachukwu and Fr. Andy Knopik officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois.
Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the St. Charles Catholic Church in Du Bois.
Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery at Du Bois.
Friends may make memorials to St. Charles Cemetery, St. Ann School or the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
