Sonya Hayley Eaton

Sonya Hayley Eaton, 8, of Dowell, passed away at 1:24 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Sonya was a student at the Vergennes Elementary School

She was a sweet loving daughter.

She was born July 8, 2005 at Houston, Texas the daughter of Carlos Lee Eaton and Amy Carlisle.

She is survived by her parents Carlos Lee Eaton and Angie of Dowell and Amy Carlisle of Canada, one sister-Sasha Kachina Eaton of Dowell, five aunts- Brenda Rains and husband Alfred of Warsaw, Missouri, Miranda Finch and husband Kevin of Hammond Louisiana, Melba Freeman and husband Mark Sr. of Springfield, Missouri, Debbie Oxford and husband Don of Du Quoin, Deneva Torres and husband Danny of Lakewood, Washington, two uncles- Dennis Blackburn of Du Quoin, Michael W. Ball of Walla Walla Washington and numerous cousins.

She was preceded by her paternal grandparents- Melvin and Peggy Eaton and maternal grandparents- Bobby and Libby Carlisle.

Memorial Service will be at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 6, 2014 at the Knoff Bend Pentecostal Church in Elkville with Rev. Merle Macke officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 6 p.m. Friday at the church

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family of Sonya Eaton and will be accepted at the funeral home or the church
