Anna L. Shaw

Anna L. Shaw, 92, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at her residence.

Anna had been a homemaker and had also worked at Country Set Garment Factory for 10 years. She was of the Methodist faith. She was a member of Home Bureau and had been a 4-H leader.

She was born Jan. 1, 1922 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Eli and Anne (Cook) Smith.

She married Carl D. Shaw on Aug. 31, 1940 at St. Louis, Mo. and he preceded her in death on July 2, 2002.

She is survived by one daughter - Nancy L. Shaw of Du Quoin, one son - Ronald G. Shaw and wife Carolyn of Pinckneyville, seven grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son - Robert D. Shaw Sr., six brothers and five sisters.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.

Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Burial will be in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.

Friends may make memorials to TIP Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
