Glen E. Smith

Glen E. Smith, 46, of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:49 a.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at his residence.

Glen had been a production worker at Nascote in Nashville, Ill. He was a member of the Liberty Church in Du Quoin.

He was born Dec. 19, 1967 at Pinckneyville, Ill., the son of Melvin Eugene and Juanita Sue (Reed) Smith.

He married Bobbi L. Bytnar on July 7, 2012 at Du Quoin and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, his mother - Juanita Sue Smith of Willisville, one son - Nathan Smith of Marissa, one daughter - Taylor Smith of Marissa, one step daughter - Breanna Bytnar of Du Quoin, one brother - Danny Smith of Willisville and his father-in-law - Bob Bytnar of Du Quoin.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Lon McPherson officiating.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
