Judith Knapp
Judith 'Judy' Knapp, 67, of Tamaroa, passed away at 8:36 p.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at her residence.
Judy had been a machine operator at Loose Leaf Metals in St. Louis and had also worked at Mums in Pinckneyville. She was of the Protestant faith. Judy had been a member of the Lupus Association.
She was born March 22, 1947 at Tamaroa, Ill., the daughter of Lonnie and Alta (Rice) Elder.
She married William Kellems on April 24, 1963 at Tamaroa, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Oct. 18, 1997. She then married Leonard A. Knapp on May 4, 2000 at Pinckneyville, Ill. and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Tamaroa, one daughter - Teri Arnold of Tamaroa, one son - Timothy Kellems of Pinckneyville, one step son - Charles Knapp and wife Shannon of Sesser, one step daughter - Kim King and husband Jason of Cutler, two brothers - George Elder and Ronnie Elder, both of Tamaroa, four sisters - Barbara Percifull of Pinckneyville, Sue Harris of Tamaroa, Ruth Glazebrook of Springfield, Mo. and Stella McKinnia of Sawyer, Okla., nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, one step daughter - Sherry Knapp, one grandson - Dustin Arnold, and one sister - Donna Davis.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at the Antioch Cemetery in Tamaroa with Chaplain Mike Allen officiating.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Burial will be in the Antioch Cemetery at Tamaroa.
