Lacie D. Knight

Lacie D. Knight, 27, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:05 p.m. Sunday, May 4, 2014 at her residence.

Lacie had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Du Quoin.

She was born May 30, 1986 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Thomas Edward and Lorie Anne (Newborn) Knight.

She is survived by one son - Trayvon Alexander Johnson Jr. of Du Quoin, her mother - Lorie Anne (Newborn) Eisenhauer of Du Quoin, her father - Thomas Edward Knight of Valier, Ill., her step mother - Melissa Knight of Valier, Ill., one brother - Joshua Lee Thomas Knight of Carbondale, aunts and uncles - Billy Newborn, Tanya Jacobs, Larry Jacobs, Theresa Thornsberry, Alice Howell, Gerald Knight and Russell Knight, maternal grandparents - Robert and Janet Newborn and Sherry Dunn, all of Du Quoin.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents - Vera and Julian Knight.

Per Lacie's request, cremation services were held.

Memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 9, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
