George Harrison Loman
George Harrison Loman, 65, of Elkville, passed away at 7:48 a.m. Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
He had worked for 35 years for the U.S. Postal Service and had been post master at Christopher. He was a member of the Elkville Christian Church. He served four years in the U.S. Navy and had been stationed in Adak, Alaska.
He was born Aug. 12, 1948 at Mt. Vernon, Ill. the son of Lowery Harrison and Betty B. (Gulley) Loman.
George married Pamela Jean Keith on Jan. 28, 1972 at Elkville, Ill. and she passed away March 30, 1998.
He is survived by three children- Tina Lynn Loman of Kansas City, Mo., Casey Renee Loman of Elkville and Matthew Harrison Loman and wife Tracy Renea of Elkville, mother- Betty B. Loman of Elkville, two brothers- Lance Loman and wife Amie and Richard Loman and wife Debbie both of Springfield, sister- Betty Winchester of Elkville, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, father and son, Michael Todd Loman.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Elkville Cemetery with Bro. Gary Pruitt officiating.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the Elkville Cemetery.
Burial will be in the Elkville Cemetery at Elkville.

Friends may make memorials to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Du Quoin VFW, American Legion and the U.S. Navy.
