Irma M. Michael

Irma M. Michael, 88, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:08 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Solari Hospice Care in Las Vegas, Nev.

Irma was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and the Bykota Sunday School Class. Irma was also a member of the Home Extension.

She was born March 9, 1926 at Du Quoin, Ill., the daughter of Alva and Gertrude (Campbell) Jackson.

She married Rudolph C. Michael on Feb. 21, 1948 at Marion, Ark. and he preceded her in death on Sept. 2, 2009.

She is survived by one son - Rudy R. Michael of Las Vegas, Nev., two sisters-in-law - Betty Jackson of Columbus, Ind. and Eileen Jackson of Du Quoin, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and four brothers - Loren Jackson, Louis Jackson, Kenneth Jackson and Paul Eugene Jackson.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
