Donald Earnheart
Donald "Kenny" Earnheart, 58, of Mulkeytown, Ill., passed away March 4, 204 at St. Anthony Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
A tragedy happened, Kenny was driving his semi when his heart started racing. He was smart enough to pull off the road and call 911. If he had kept driving he could have caused a wreck resulting in people being killed. So in my book he is a hero, he's now in heaven with the lord and his family.
Mr. Earnheart was a truck driver for Southern Illinois Motor Express for 14 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was born Jan. 17, 1956 in Christopher, Ill., the son of William and Ruby (Furlow) Koonce. He married the love of his life, Laura (Mezo) Furlow on Nov. 18, 1976.
He is survived by his wife of Mulkeytown; children, Chasity Earnheart and friend Martin Meir of Mulkeytown; grandchildren, Kenneth Charles Menard and Andrew Menard of Mulkeytown; father, William Koonce of Du Quoin; brothers and sisters, Debbie and Frank Green of Du Quoin, Kevin Earnheart of Du Quoin, Sherry and Bill Stroud of Du Quoin, Billy Koonce of Du Quoin, Nancy and Virgil Mathis of Du Quoin, Brent Koonce of Indiana, Lisa and John Hill of Willisville, Tracy Koonce of Du Quoin, Tara and Keith Pyron of Du Quoin, Gary Earnheart of Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; granddaughter, Kahlie Menard; grandparents and several in-laws.
