Dale F. Rudloff

Dale F. Rudloff, 92, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:37 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012 at the Fairview Nursing Center in Du Quoin.

Dale had been a mechanic and farmer. He had worked at Rudloff Garage. Dale had also worked for the Du Quoin Packing Company until 1965 and had run a Sinclair Service Station for three years. He was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Du Quoin. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Dale was a member of the Du Quoin V.F.W. and Du Quoin American Legion.

He was born Aug. 14, 1920 at Du Quoin, Ill., the son of Frank F. and Velma R. (Smith) Rudloff.

He married Catherine Henson on Dec. 26, 1941 at Perryville, Mo. and she preceded him in death on Nov. 3, 1986.

He is survived by one son -Ronald Rudloff and wife Deborah of Du Quoin, two grandsons -Daniel Rudloff and wife Julie of Du Quoin and Dale Rudloff and wife Cindy of Benton, three great grandchildren -Courtney, Ryan and Jessi Rudloff.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and one sister -Carrie Belle Payne.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, Sept. 17, 2012 at the Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville with Rev. Lon McPherson officiating.

Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Burial will be in the Mueller Hill Cemetery at Pinckneyville.

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the Du Quoin V.F.W. and American Legion and the United States Navy.

Friends may make memorials to the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
