Bernice R. Hagene

Bernice R. Hagene, age 88, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 at 3:35 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Bernice was born on Oct. 1, 1923 in Rice, Ill., a daughter to William J. and Rosa (Ritter) Kellerman. On Aug. 12, 1941, she married Louis J. Hagene in St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church, Todds Mill, Ill. and he preceded her in death on Jan. 26, 1990. Bernice was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., Catholic Daughters, St. Bruno quilting ladies, was a cook at St. Bruno School for 25 years and worked as a nurse's aid at Perry Manor Health Care, Pinckneyville, Ill. for 20 years. Bernice enjoyed sewing, canning and cooking and dearly loved spending time with her family.
