Nancy Hill

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Nancy "Joy" Hill, age 75, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012 at 1:20 a.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Joy was born on April 21, 1937 in Ashley, Ill., a daughter to Kenneth and Eula (Thornton) Davis. On Nov. 8, 1958, she married Paul Dean Hill in the First Pentecostal Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and he survives. She was a member of New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and was a homemaker and ran a daycare in her home for 12 years. Joy enjoyed quilting and volunteer work and had earned an award for her quilt making as a part of her volunteer work. She also enjoyed collecting Cabbage Patch Dolls and dearly loved spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband of over 53 years, Paul Dean Hill of Pinckneyville, Ill.; her mother, Eula Davis of Coulterville, Ill.; two sons, Randy (Rose) Hill of San Antonio, Tex. and Brad (Whitney) Hill of Pinckneyville, Ill.; a daughter, Paula (Brian) Brewer of Pinckneyville, Ill.; three brothers, Ervin Davis of O'Fallon, Mo., Kenneth (Dot) Davis of Wentzville, Mo., Sam (Theresa) Davis of Coulterville, Ill.; a sister, Brenda (Harold) O'Rear of Coulterville, Ill.; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; one brother, David Davis and a sister in law, Dorothy Davis.

Funeral services will be held in New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor James Clardy officiating. Interment will be in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends may call at New Hope Community Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to New Hope Community Church.
