Ronald J. Miller

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ronald J. Miller, 52, of Du Quoin, passed away at 11:58 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital at Pinckneyville.

Ron had worked as a mechanic at Rich&#39;s Shop in Du Quoin. He was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the Du Quoin Eagles Club.

He was born April 15, 1960 at Du Quoin, Ill., the son of Paul and Francis Marie (Dasher) Miller.

He is survived by his mother - Francis Miller of Du Quoin, one daughter - Brittany Miller of Benton, step daughter - Stacie Watts of Du Quoin, three grandchildren - Trenton Melvin, Brandon Melvin and Daylin McClanahan, 14 siblings - Paul Dean Miller of Pinckneyville, Clarence Miller of Du Quoin, Robert Dale Overturf of Du Quoin, Barbara Airendale of Scheller, Steven Miller of Cutler, Judy Bottiaux of Pinckneyville, Carla Kay Ferris of Cutler, Christine Quillman of Pinckneyville, Debra Hicks of Mt. Vernon, Mark Miller of Cutler, Bill Miller of Du Quoin, Mike Miller of Du Quoin, Bryan Miller of Du Quoin and Jerry Miller of Sesser, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, one brother - Edward Wayne Miller, and special friend - Rosemund &#39;Punckey&#39; Watts.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Aug. 3, 2012 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Jim Endsley officiating.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
