Sharon Ann Burns

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Sharon Ann Burns, 61, of Dowell, passed away at 12:43 p.m., Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.

Sharon was a homemaker. She was of the Christian faith. She loved to cook and was a great cook. She loved bingo, fishing, playing cards and having nice talks with her husband. Sharon will be truly missed.

She was born May 16, 1951 at Carbondale, Ill., the daughter of Richard Lee and Juel Dora (Davis) Scott.

She married Donald Arthur Burns on Nov. 21, 1990 at Las Vegas, Nev. and he survives.

She is survived by her husband of Dowell, one son - Robert Wagley of Florida, step daughter - Jennifer Fisher of Myner, Ill., mother-in-law - Virginia Turner of California, three sisters - Jane Woepke of Kirkwood, Mo., Mary Overton of Louisville, Ky. and Betty Bronke of Tamaroa, one brother - Richard Scott of Du Quoin, close friend - Bernice Antrim of Murphysboro, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son - Christopher Wagley, two sisters - Judy Mathis and Susan Wright and two brothers - Alan Scott and William Scott.

Memorial services will be at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Bro. Randy Allison officiating.

Friends may call from 5 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
