Our elected Legislators are really trying to be slick
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Dear Editor:
Our elected Legislators are really trying to be slick. They try to pass a bill to make retirees make a choice. The choice would be to either accept our normal Cost of Living (3%) which amounts to a little over $100 dollars and forego the state's Health Insurance or take a lower Cost of Living Adjustment and keep our State Health Insurance plan. Our health insurance plan is more important to most of us than the cost of living. We don't have any idea how much the cost of living would be or how much we will have to pay for our health insurance. They got slick and left the judges out of this equation. They are technically trying to pay the judges off. By excluding the judges they are hoping the judges will rule in their favor when this goes to court. All the judges I've dealt with are more professional than that. They will do their jobs right no matter what the legislators do. Waste in Springfield needs to go. Rep. Bost goes on a tyrate in session the other day. He says he wants to protect his people. So why did he vote YES on retirees paying for their health insurance? All he did was throw up a smoke screen from all the heat he's been receiving from the voters over his vote on the health insurance premiums. Our elected officials need to grow up and represent the people that put him in office. He works for us but if we are smart he won't after 2014.
