</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Mary E. "Snookie" McClure, 96, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 9:25 pm on Friday, July 6, 2012 at her home in Chester, IL.

Mary was born to John and Helena (nee: Murer) Clendenin on October 6, 1915 in Modoc, IL.

She married E. H. "Jack" McClure on January 31, 1936 in Sparta, IL. He preceded her in death on November 22, 1994.

Mary was a retired Owner and Secretary of Schroeder-McClure Funeral Chapel and Home Furnishings.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chester. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Chester, a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality, a Charter Member Chester Baskerville Society, of the Mississippi Saint's and an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Rams Football fan.

Above all, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her.

Survivors: 3 Children: Jacqueline (Gordon) Hadfield Indio, CA; Gary (Becky) McClure Fairview Heights, IL; Michael (Susan) McClure Chester, IL; 1 Sister-in-law: Dolores Clendenin Chester, IL; 9 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; Many Nieces and Nephews

Preceded in death by: Parents, Husband - E. H. "Jack" McClure, 2 Sisters - Beulah Glasscock and Ruby Butler and 1 Brother - Arkell Clendenin

Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chester, Illinois

Officiating: Msgr. Dennis Schaefer and Fr. Allen Maes

Interment: St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery inChester, Illinois

Visitation will be held Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois
