Kathryn Ray

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Kathryn Ray, 92, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2012 at the Centralia Friendship House.

Kathryn was a homemaker. She was a member of the Spirit of Life Christian Church in Du Quoin.

She was born Jan. 13, 1920 at St. Johns, Ill., the daughter of Aleck and Elizabeth (Mart) Shelby.

She is survived by one brother - Charles Shelby and wife Georgia of Cleburne, Tex., one sister - Juanita Walters of Effingham, Ill., several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters - Violet Melvin and Thelma Bacott.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin with Rev. Gerald Wright officiating.

Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Friends may make memorials to the Spirit of Life Christian Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
