</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Tom W. Queen, 46 of Sesser, Ill. passed away at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at his home in Sesser, Ill.
He was born Dec. 20, 1965, to Fred and Eileen(Center) Queen .
He married Jammie Clark on June 26, 1993.
Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
Thomas graduated from the Du Quoin High School in 1983, he received his RN in nursing from the John A. Logan College and also received his BSN in Nursing from the Middle Tennessee State University. Thomas was employed by the Veteran's Hospital in Marion. He was a member of the Old Du Quoin Baptist Church. Thomas loved to travel.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Jammie; one son, Caleb Queen of Sesser and three daughters, Mikayla Queen, Amanda Queen and Savannah Queen, all of Sesser; two brothers, Andrew Queen of San Diego, Calif. and Mark Queen of Vermont; one sister, Sarah Self of Marion, Ill. and one uncle, Bill (Michele) Center of Murpysboro and nieces and nephews and other relatives
Tom was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation was Thursday, May 17, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Crain- Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Thomas W. Queen were Friday, May 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Crain-Pleasant Grove-Murdale Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Clark and Pastor Scott Kallem, Officiating. Interment was at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park with full military rites.
Memorials contributions can be made to the Sitemen Cancer Center at the Barnes Jewish Hospital, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
