William H. Eisenhauer
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[William H. Eisenhauer, 83, of Du Quoin, passed away at 11:10 p.m., Saturday, April 28, 2012 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Bill had been owner/operator of Eisenhauer General Contractors for 45 years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin. He was a 50-year life member and past exalted ruler of Du Quoin Elks Lodge. He was also a 50-year member of the Du Quoin Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Carpenters Union. Bill had served on the Perry County Building Commission for several years. Bill was an avid Cubs, Bears and Blackhawks fan. He enjoyed gardening and yard work and was an avid golfer. He and Jerry loved dancing and Bill loved to play cards.
He was born Oct. 14, 1928 at Vergennes, Ill., the son of Carl and Elizabeth (Endres) Eisenhauer.
Bill married Geraldine "Jerry" VanCloostere on May 4, 1950 at the St. Andrews Catholic Church in Murphysboro and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, two daughters- Karen May and husband John of Du Quoin and Rebecca Pittman and husband Mike of Carbondale, two sons- Stephen E. Eisenhauer and wife Robin of Du Quoin and W. Kent Eisenhauer and wife Tracey of Herrin, brother- Gene Eisenhauer of Du Quoin, eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters- Pauline and Helen and two brothers- Leonard and Carl.
Private family graveside services were held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Du Quoin with Fr. Nick Junker officiating.
Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Sacred Heart Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
