Thank you Representative Costello for Voting to Defund Planned Parenthood
Recently Planned Parenthood Federation of America, PPFA, has been exposed by undercover people working for an organization called Live Action. These undercover people posed as pimps and prostitutes. They video-recorded their conversation with PPFA workers. PPFA told the undercover reporters how to get young girls in for testing and for abortions, without the required reporting of their age or their circumstances. The most recent videos have been in the news, however Live Action has found problems in several PPFA clinics across the nation. Some of these problems are the failure to report, others deal with medical personnel giving false information to their clients.
Because of the most recent videos of PPFA workers supporting those who traffic in the sex trade, Congress is considering cutting federal funds that go to PPFA. On February 18th the house voted 240-185 to defund Planned Parenthood. It was a vote mostly along party lines. However, a few congress people from both sides voted with the other party. Our representative, Jerry Costello , stayed true to his pro-life position and voted to defund Planned Parenthood. The showdown will come in the Senate and with the White House, but for now I'd like to thank Rep. Costello for his vote. You might contact him and do the same.
