How about a cat up-date. I started the winter season with 22. I am now down to 14. Plus a sneaky 3 leg yellow tom-cat that shows up every other day. Cats seem to be pretty smart most of the time, but when it comes to crossing the road, they think they are bulletproof, and they're wrong.
Another politically correct term: Domestic Violence. Remember when we referred to some men as wife beaters. Perfect example of a coward: a man who would hit a woman.
I watched a few minutes of American Idol recently. They do no sing their own songs. Seems to me like it is just a Kareoke contest, and may the cutest win.
Here's a saying I like: Some folks don't exaggerate, they just remember big.
If you went to school in the fifties, do you remember snow days? I don't. Seems like that bus always made it thru. Now if two inches fall everyone seems to panic. If the trees were covered in ice, we walked in the middle of the street to avoid fallen limbs.
Gas prices in MIssouri are presently 20 cents cheaper than in Chester, but sometimes its not worth it to drive over there to save $2 unless I'm buying tobacco.
Sailors have more fun!
