Harlo D. Rubach, 76
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Harlo D. Rubach of Perryville, MO died February 8, 2011 at Independence Care Center in Perryville, MO. He was 76.
He was born in Percy, IL on July 13, 1934 son of the late William and Bertha (Hornbostel) Rubach. He and Barbara L. Ochs were married on June 11, 1955. She survives in Perryville, MO.
Other survivors include two daughters and a son: Karen (Ed) Buchheit of Perryville, Kent (Cindy) Rubach of Wildwood, MO, Kathleen (Todd) Hite of Vance, AL; two sisters: Evelyn Thompson and Darlene Dierks both of Steelville, IL; seven grandchildren: Corey (Michael-Ann) Buchheit, Hayley Buchheit, Wesley Buchheit, Kaleb Rubach, Clayton Rubach, Kolby Hite, Kallie Hite and two great-grandchildren: Owen and Landon Buchheit.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Stella Todaro and four brothers: Wilbert, Elmer, Herbert and Harold Rubach.
Mr. Rubach was a retired bricklayer, Immanuel Lutheran Church custodian and 11 year employee of Gilster Mary-Lee. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Sunday Morning Bible Class, American Legion Post 133, VFW Post 4282, Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers Union Local 8 of Ilinois and Army veteran. He was a former Elder, PTL President and past member of Immanuel Finance Board, Lutheran Mixed Sunday Bowling League and Alderman for 4 years of Ward I.
Visitation for Mr. Rubach will be held at Young & Sons Funeral Home in Perryville on Friday, February 11 from 4 to 9 PM, with American Legion Wake at 7:00 PM, and on Saturday, February 12 from 6:30 AM until 12:15 PM. He will then be taken to Immanuel Lutheran Church for service at 2:00 PM with Rev. Matthew Marks officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery with military graveside service provided by the American Legion Post 133 the MO Delta Team.
Memorials are preferred to Immanuel Lutheran School or Alzheimer's Association..
