Doris Rae Harris, 71

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Doris Rae Harris, 71, of Sherwood, Arkansas, formerly of Rockwood, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2011 at her son's home in Searcy, Arkansas.

She was born to Richard S. and Mollie V. (nee: Moss) Johnson on June 16, 1939 in Rockwood, IL.

She was married to Ronald G. Harris for 56 years. He survives.

Doris was retired from the Pulaski County School District where she dedicated 30 years of service as a nutrition manager.

She gave many years volunteering with the Girl Scouts.

She was a military wife and traveled extensively with her family while Ronald served 34 years for this country.

Johnson Rockwood, IL; 5 Nephews: Kirby, Randy & Gorden Mansker, Kerry & Jay Johnson; 4 Nieces: LaCleta Hall, Sherry Nansker, Melodie Rushing & Martha Yankey Preceded in death by: Parents and 1 daughter - Kimala Harris

Funeral Service was held at 10:00 am, Friday, February 11, 2011 at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home in Chester, Illinois

Officiating: Rev. Phillip Keeton

Interment: Ebenezer Cemetery in Rockwood, Illinois

Visitation was held on Thursday, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Friday, 7:30 am - 10:00 am at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois
