Lowell L. Gulley

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lowell L. "Snooks" Gulley, age 88, of Du Quoin, Ill., passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 at 3:00 a.m. in Marshall Browning Hospital, Du Quoin, Ill.

Lowell was born on Dec. 25, 1922 in Du Quoin, Ill., a son to Lowell L. and Rose M. (Rapuzzi) Gulley, Sr. On Nov. 12, 1949, he married Catherine Marco in Piggott Ark., and she survives. Lowell was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Du Quoin, Ill. He enjoyed raising flowers, feeding birds and playing with his cats.

Lowell is survived by his wife, Catherine Gulley of Du Quoin, Ill.; one son, Steven Gulley of Du Quoin, Ill. and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Loren Gulley.

Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Mark Bruno officiating. Interment was in Sunset Memorial Park, Du Quoin, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Du Quoin, Ill. on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
