Phyllis June Baker

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Phyllis June Baker, age 72 of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011 at 9:16 p.m. in Pinckneyville Community Hospital, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Phyllis was born on Oct. 6, 1938 in Maquon, Ill., a daughter to Clyde Harrison and Bertha (Fennell) Morse. Phyllis worked at Nascote Industries in Nashville, Ill., retiring after 13 years and was a cook for a number of years at both Luke's Caf&#233; and Perry Manor. She was a member of First Christian Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., where she enjoyed singing in the church choir, the Moose Lodge Womens Auxiliary, was both a Boy Scout and Girl Scout leader, served as P.T.A. President for many years and was a member of the Pinckneyville Panthers Booster Club.

Phyllis is survived by five children, Tina (Virgil) Ford of Smithfield, Ill., Eric (Francie) Baker of Pinckneyville, Ill., Vicki McMaster of Du Quoin, Ill., Janet (Kreston) Szczepanski of Pinckneyville, Ill., and Phillip (Yvette) Baker of Pinckneyville, Ill.; three brothers, Stephen (Cloma) Morse of Orion, Ill., Wallace Morse of Seattle, Wash., and Keith (Betty) Morse of Elmwood, Ill.; two sisters, Katherine Sharpshear of Canton, Ill. and Hazel Steagall of Norris, Ill.; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, five brothers, LaVerne Morse, Ted Morse, Herb Morse, Roland Morse and Leroy Morse; two sisters, Vernice Webber and Wanda Morse and one great granddaughter, Shelby Ryann McCartney.

Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. with Brother Jeff Tucker officiating. Interment was in Campbell Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
