Milton S. Longshore
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Milton S. Longshore, 81, of Alpha, Ill. Died Monday Jan. 10, 2011 at Genesis Medical Center in Silvis, Ill.

He was born Feb. 16, 1929 in Sparta, Ill. to Noah and Georgia Wright Longshore. He attended the Du Quoin, Ill. schools and married Rosalie L. Swallers June 14, 1947 in Du Quoin. She died July 10, 1997.
Milton was employed throughout the years at various places including the Illinois Central Railroad, the Illinois Dept of Corrections in Joliet, General Motors in Lagrange, Ill. and was a farmhand for Martin Olson. He worked as a Machinist, then Maintenance Carpenter and finally a welder at John Deere Plow and Planter retiring in 1984.
He was a former member of the Moose Lodge, the UAW and he enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald (Christine) Longshore of Andover, Ill., Robert Longshore of Alpha, four grandchildren Jeff, Jim, Angela and Mary Jo and 11 great grandchildren.
His parents, wife and four brothers preceded him in death.
