Kathryn Louise McCormick

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Kathryn Louise McCormick, 93, of Miami, Fla., formerly of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Miami, Fla.

Kathryn was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Du Quoin. She had been a resident of Du Quoin until 1954 when she moved to Miami, Fla.

She was born Jan. 17, 1917 at Bush, Ill., the daughter of Howard Newton and Etta (Wright) Conley.

She married Elwood F. "Huck" McCormick on Sept. 7, 1934 at Du Quoin, Ill. and he preceded her in death on May 29, 2007.

She is survived by one daughter - Sharon Sellers of Miami, Fla., three grandsons - Ronnie Sellers of West Palm Beach, Fla., Randy Sellers of Burnsville, N.C., and Ricky Sellers of Spruce Pine, N.C., seven great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Graveside services were at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011 at the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Those attending the service were asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Friends called from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the Old Du Quoin Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
