Eunice B. Huggins

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Eunice B. Huggins, 92, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:29 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2011 at the Fairview Nursing Center at Du Quoin.

Eunice was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.

She was born March 13, 1918 at Princeton, Ind., the daughter of Ross and Anna B. (Garrison) Barrett.

She married Leonard Huggins on Jan. 25, 1935 at Carmi, Ill. and he preceded her in death on June 21, 1976.

She is survived by one son - Ron Huggins and wife Jackie of Tamaroa, daughter-in-law - Linda Huggins of Mt. Vernon, Ill., four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son - Jim Huggins, and five sisters - Erma Bloodworth, Alice Bradshaw, Selma Tipton, Thelma Yeager and Juanita Shute.

Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Friday, Jan. 7, 2011 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.

Friends called from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Du Quoin.

Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
