Betty Lou Pyle
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Betty Lou Pyle, 82, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:35 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010 at the Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin.
Betty was a homemaker. She had attended the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.
She was born Dec. 15, 1928 at Carmi, Ill., the daughter of Hylas and Reba (Gott) McGhee.
She married Lawrence L. Pyle on June 8, 1946 at Carmi, Ill. and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, three children - La Donna Gard of Ringgold, Ga., Larry Pyle and wife Linda of Columbus, Miss. and Brenda Jokisch and husband Bruce of Du Quoin, six grandchildren - Michelle Gard, Steve Pyle, Jeff Pyle, Brandi Jokisch Williams, Brent Jokisch and Brianne Jokisch, seven great grandchildren - Jessica Pyle, Brent Pyle, Madison Pyle, Briley Pyle, Haley Williams, Jaylen Jokisch and Brayden Jokisch and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, and one sister.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Charles Smith officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial with a committal service was at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at the Kuykendall Cemetery at Carmi, Ill.
