Alice Faye Saddler

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Alice Faye Saddler, 68, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 3:34 a.m., Monday, Dec. 6, 2010 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.

Alice had worked as a clerk at Handee Mart for 10 years. She was of the Christian faith.

She was born June 22, 1942 at Jackson County, Ill., the daughter of Jack and Eunice (Williams) Vancil.

She married Walt Saddler on Nov. 3, 1979 at Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on Aug. 28, 1994.

She is survived by two sons - Ted Garner and wife Jessamy Hoffmann of Windham, Conn. and Sam Saddler and wife Kathy of Highland, Ill., three grandchildren - Kristy Saddler, Karly Saddler and Jake Saddler, all of Highland, Ill., one sister - Wilma McDonnough of Pinckneyville and special friend - Larry Odum of Pinckneyville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four sisters, five brothers, and two brothers-in-law.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 9, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Rev. Raymond Baggott officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial was in the Mueller Hill Cemetery at Pinckneyville.

Friends may make memorials to the Perry County Gold Plate and will be accepted at the funeral home.
