Beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother
Luvern Hagan Duensing passed away at her home in Richmond, Texas on November 26, 2010. Luvern was born in Chester, Illinois, on August 12, 1928, the daughter of Elmer Hagan and Mary Valleroy Hagan.
She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Delbert, her son, Gary Duensing, and her granddaughter, Ellen Duensing.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Janice Duensing, son and daughter-in-law, Ronald and Patricia Duensing, daughter-in-law Adelia Duensing, and daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Dennis Giuffré. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law Ruth and Michael Taylor, sister Eileen Lusardi, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Luvern and her husband were married in Chester, also the birthplace of Delbert and all of their children. Luvern and Delbert lived a happy and fulfilling life in various towns in Illinois, Arkansas, and Texas.
A requiem funeral mass was celebrated at St. Jude Shrine in Stafford, Texas on November 29, 2010, by Father Louis Campbell. A burial service was held on December 1, 2010, at Evergreen Cemetery in Chester, conducted by Father Gene Wojcik of St. Mary's Church.
