Betty L. Hilt Walden

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Betty L. Hilt Walden, 78, of Tamaroa, passed away at 5:48 p.m., Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 at the home of her daughter in Du Quoin.

Betty was a homemaker. She had been a clerk at Triggs Home Grocery in Tamaroa and worked for 16 years at the Du Quoin Packing Company. She was a member of the Nine Mile Baptist Church at Tamaroa.

She was born Jan. 10, 1932 at Tamaroa, Ill. the daughter of William S. and Violet Marie (Stanley) Weaver.

She is survived by a daughter- Nova Clarry of Du Quoin, three sons- Frank Hilt of Tamaroa, Darren Hilt and wife Linda of Tamaroa, Duane Hilt and wife Renetta of Du Quoin, two sisters- Shirley Rojek of Tamaroa and Lurene Brashear of Tennessee, nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister- Jane Holland.

Funeral services were at 10:00 a.m., Friday, Dec. 3, 2010 at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa with Rev. Noah Schlag officiating.

Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.

Burial was in the Tamaroa Cemetery at Tamaroa.
