Virginia Higgerson
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Virginia 'Jackie' Higgerson, age 75, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in her home.
Jackie was born on Nov. 21, 1935 in Denmark, Ill., a daughter to Virgil Levi and Hazel Belle (Schwetzler) Hutchings. On Nov. 13, 1954, she married William Ralph Higgerson at Denmark Baptist Church and he survives. Together they celebrated 56 years of marriage. She had worked for 34 years at Decca Records/MCA as a press operator and CD stocker/packer and she retired in 1997. Jackie was a member of Holts Prairie Baptist Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and enjoyed vacationing with her husband in Yellowstone and Glacier Parks, Branson and at the Grand Ole Opry. She also enjoyed working in her flowers, watching "The Young & The Restless" and "Survivor" and especially loved spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her loving family.
Jackie is survived by her husband, William Higgerson of Pinckneyville, Ill.; four children, William Ray Higgerson, Douglas Dean (Pam) Higgerson and Candy Kay (Mark) Cicardi, all of Pinckneyville, Ill. and Robert Allen Higgerson of Chester, Ill.; six grandchildren, Cary (George) Bailey, Will (Amber) Higgerson, Amanda (Dusty) Jaroski, Emily Cicardi, Taylor Cicardi and Josh Higgerson; four great-grandchildren, Cody Bailey, Paxton Higgerson, Chloe Bailey and Mallory Higgerson; four brothers and sisters, Charlene (J.R.) Salmons of Fulton, Mo., Kitten (Ronnie) Lee, Joyce (Larry) Heston and Rick (Cathy) Hutchings, all of Pinckneyville, Ill.; an aunt, Audrey Hutchings of Mattoon, Ill. and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Bruce Higgerson; a brother, Ronnie Hutchings; a niece, Dawn Furkin; a nephew, Kenny Craig and a brother-in-law, Kenny Milliken.
Funeral services were held at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Mark Lee officiating. Interment was in Cottom Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.
Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8: 00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
