Henry W. Rabe

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Henry W. "Hank" Rabe, age 81, of Pinckneyville, Ill, passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2010 at 3:40 p.m. in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Carbondale, Ill.

Hank was born on Feb. 19, 1929 in Pinckneyville, Ill., a son to Henry F. and Ernestine A. (Mayer) Rabe. On June 5, 1948, he married Ulla G. "Trudy" Kelley in St. Paul's United Church of Christ Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. and she survives. He had worked as a retail store manager and Director of stores for Catherine's Stores based out of Memphis, Tenn. He was of the Lutheran faith and a member of the Masonic Lodge, Macomb, Ill.

Survivors include his wife, Trudy Rabe of Pinckneyville, Ill.; two sons, Lawrence Douglas (Marian) Rabe of New Braunfels, Tex. and Richard L. Rabe of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Irene (Bob) Davis of Taylorville, Ill. and two grandchildren, Catherine Rabe and Matthew Rabe.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Ernestine Meisner and one brother, Lawrence "Larry" Rabe.

Mr. Rabe's wishes were to be cremated with no funeral services held.

Friend called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
