Ann J. Riggio
</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Ann J. Riggio, 91, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:24 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at the Marshall Browning Hospital at Du Quoin.
Ann had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin. She was a devoted mother, wife, and grandmother.
She was born August 1, 1919 at Herrin, Ill., the daughter of Salvatore and Giovannina (Guarnieri) Restivo.
She married Vincent P. Riggio on June 14, 1941 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church at Herrin, Ill. and he preceded her in death in January of 1995.
She is survived by four children - Stephen J. Riggio and wife Mary of Du Quoin, Antoinette Gayer and husband Bill of Herrin, Joann Gordon and husband Bert of Herrin, and Sam V. Riggio and wife Nancy of Du Quoin, seven grandchildren - Andrew and Laura Gayer, Jennifer and Brian Finck, Matthew and Kelly Riggio, Michael Riggio, Susan and John Raski, Brian Gordon and Nicholas Riggio, five great grandchildren - Jessica, Valerie, and Nathan Finck, Sophie Gayer and Luke Raski.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers - Jim, Angelo and Joe Restivo and one sister - Marie Pfister.
Mass of Christian Burial was at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2010 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin with Fr. Nick Junker officiating.
Friends called from 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church on Wednesday.
Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Masses or Sacred Heart Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
