Bill Needham

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Billy Joe "Bill" Needham, age 69, of Pinckneyville, Ill., passed away on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010 at 8:56 a.m. in his home.

Bill was born on Nov. 30, 1940, in Centralia, Ill., a son to William "Bill" and Joie Marie (Miller) Needham. On Sept. 27, 1975, he married Judy Opp in Pinckneyville, Ill. and she survives. Bill was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill., a veteran of the United States Army National Guard and a Shriner 33rd Degree. He was employed as a lab technician at Pinckneyville, Ill. for over 40 years. Bill enjoyed wine making, cooking and gardening, especially tending to his roses and orchids.

Bill is survived by his wife Judy Needham of Pinckneyville, Ill.; brother-in-law, Gerald L. Opp of Yucca Valley, Calif.; one sister, Clariese K. Replogle of Branson, Mo.; many dear friends; special neighbors, Doug, Connie and Ryan Valentine and his traveling friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law; Gerald and Faye Opp and one nephew, Scott James Haake.

Funeral services were held at St. Bruno Catholic Church, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. with Father Nick Junker officiating. Interment was in St. Bruno Catholic Cemetery, Pinckneyville, Ill.

Friends called at Pyatt Funeral Home, Pinckneyville, Ill. on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. The rosary was recited at 9:30 a.m.

Memorials may be made to St. Bruno Catholic Church or Masses.
