</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[Lester G. Schulte, 88, of Perryville, Missouri formerly of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 6:20 pm, Monday, November 1, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital, Cape Girardeau, Missouri.

Lester was born to the late August and Emma (nee Goshen) Schulte on November 28, 1921 in Sparta, Illinois.

Lester married Claudie Hill on May 7, 1947 in Chester, Illinois; she survives.

Lester had been Owner and Operator of the Chester Quarry for 40 years.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Perryville, Missouri. He was lifetime member of American Legion Post #487; were he was a past commander. He was a member of the D.A.V. and past commander. He was former member of the Chester Public Building Commission, former member of the Memorial Hospital Board and former Boy Scout troop leader in Chester.

He was a WWII Army Air Force Veteran.

Preceded in death by: Parents, 1 Son - James Schulte, 1 Brother - Vernon Schulte and 1 Sister - Lydia Kloth

Funeral Service were at 11:00 am on Friday, November 5, 2010 at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois

Officiating: Rev. Mark Willig

Interment was at Paradise Cemetery at Steeleville, Illinois

Visitation was at Thursday, 4:00 - 8:00 pm and Friday, 7:30 - 11:00 am at Pechacek-McClure Funeral Home, Chester, Illinois
