Raynold Eggemeyer, 80

</element><element id="paragraph-1" type="body"><![CDATA[ Raynold Eggemeyer, 80, of Chester, passed away at 2:35 A.M. Sunday, October 17, 2010, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO.

He was born February 1, 1930 in Chester, Illinois the son of Arthur Eggemeyer and Cora (Runge) Eggemeyer.

Raynold married Dorothy A. Minton on October 1, 1955 at Zion Lutheran Church, Walsh, IL.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Eggemeyer of Chester, IL; children Rudy and Julie Egemeyer of Chester, IL and Cindy Eggemeyer of Bolingbrook, IL; two grandchildren Lindsay and Jeremy Mueller and Adam Eggemeyer; sisters: Alberta Eggemeyer of Marion, IL and Loretta and Larry Gentry of Carterville, IL; Several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Floyd and Edmund Eggemeyer.

Mr. Eggemeyer served in the U.S. Marines, during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and Church Council, a member of the BBK American Legion Post #480, Steeleville, IL, V.F.W. Kaskaskia Post #3553, Chester, IL, Civil War Post , Hecker, IL, Randolph County Farm Bureau, Former member on the Board of Directors for Egyptian Telephone, Former ACS Committee member, and Old Time Weather Forecaster for Randolph County Farm Bureau Paper.

Raynold worked as a farmer.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Walsh. Rev. Harold Weber will be officiating. Burial will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Walsh , IL.

Visitation will be held at Wilson&#39;s Funeral Home, Steeleville on Tuesday from 5-8 PM and then on Wednesday from 7:30 to 9am and then from 10 to 11am at the church. American Legion Post #480 Service will be on Tuesday at 8pm and graveside service will be by the V.F.W. post #3553.
